Evidence-Based Psychotherapy Tailored to You
Your mind is part of your ride.
Mind in the Saddle was created from a simple belief: the mental side of riding matters just as much as the physical side.
As an equestrian and mental health counselor, I understand how deeply riding can be connected to our confidence, emotions, identity, and overall well-being. Fear after a fall, anxiety before a show, perfectionism, self-doubt, burnout, or simply feeling like you've lost the connection with the rider you used to be can affect so much more than what happens in the saddle.
I created Mind in the Saddle to give equestrians a space where those experiences are understood—not judged.
Whether you ride English or Western, compete at the highest level or ride simply because you love horses, you deserve support that understands both you and the world you're a part of.
Through individual counseling and performance-focused support, we work together to navigate the mental and emotional challenges that can get in the way of feeling confident, present, and fulfilled.
Because sometimes the hardest obstacle isn't the jump.
It's what's happening in your head.
Confidence in your mind. Confidence in the saddle.
Meet the Founder
I’ve been an equestrian since I was eight years old, and horses have been a meaningful part of my life ever since. I grew up participating in 4-H and later had the opportunity to compete in college at Salisbury University.
After earning my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I knew I wanted to find a way to bring together two things I’m deeply passionate about: mental health and the equestrian community.
I created Mind in the Saddle as a way to give back to the community that has given me so much. As both a counselor and lifelong equestrian, I understand that riding is about so much more than what happens in the saddle. My goal is to help fellow equestrians work through anxiety, fear, confidence struggles, performance pressure, and the unique emotional challenges that come with being a rider.
Because your mind is part of your ride.
